My all-time favorite instrument is the guitar. However, I cannot play the guitar. But when it comes to keys I feel more at ease. This is a clip I used in a video called Studio Uno. I created a stereogram using two shots from opposing angles. The videos were overlayed with still photographs I took that were from the same side of the organ but with an oblique angle. The still photos became the cyan layers and the videos became the red layers which were under the blue. This is somewhat of a poor persons (Man's/Woman's) stereogram, that is to say, I only used one camera for the entire operations and resulting composition. The video Estudio Uno actually required the use of six cameras. The point being was trying to document the studio process of creating over one night. The project included making a painting, recording an original improvised audio recording, documenting my studio and creating documentation in the form of photography and video of the process.
This work and my inability on the guitar reminds me of the first time I heard Mozart's First Piano Concerto played on the trumpet. In hearing the music played through the horn I had finally felt the power, uplifting nature and magnificence of the spirit that while played, unfortunately, on the piano never gave me the chills.
Here is the vid Estudio Uno
